What is Merrybet pools betting?
Merrybet offers pool betting games with the world’s biggest sports
jackpots across a range of sports. Amounts staked will be placed into
the pools and winning players share the pot.
Who is Merrybet?
Merrybet enables players to crowdfund tickets into Colossus pools and play for lotto-sized sports jackpots together.
The Captain is in control
The Merrybet Captain makes their predictions on an upcoming pool,
with the advantage of being able to create a big ticket covering
multiple outcomes as they are only required to fund the first 10% of the
total ticket cost.
Joining a Syndicate
Once a ticket is created by the Captain, other players can join
Merrybet and help crowd fund the ticket into the pool - assuming they
like the look of the selections made by the Captain! Merrybet' provides
even more chances to win.
Multiple selections
One of the features of Merrybet is the ability to cover multiple
selections in a leg - great for the matches that you’re finding too hard
to call or have less confidence in. For example if you think Crystal
Palace vs Everton is too hard to call, all three outcomes can be covered
with 1=Home, X=Draw, and 2=Away.
Social sharing
Tickets can be shared on social media via FaceBook, WhatsApp or
Twitter, giving players the chance to invite friends (or anyone that can
see your posts!) to join the Syndicate. The more people that see the
Syndicate ticket, the more people that can help to fund it!
Cash Out
All Merrybet pools feature leg by leg Cash Out and the Syndicate
Captain has full control of any potential offers. Remember, a clever
Cash Out along the way could mean a ticket makes a profit for its
members even if it eventually goes on to lose.
The first GOAL Syndicate is LIVE
There is now a Goal.com Syndicate in the latest Pick 15 (on the 1X2 market) featuring matches from around Europe this weekend.
This enables our readers to join the action by contributing to our ticket of pre-selected picks.
Below you can find all our selections for this weekend's massive £800,000 prize pool and our thinking on some of the selections.
Burnley v Swansea - Home win
Burnley have been exceptional at home since their return to the
Premier League at the start of last season. Having picked up 33 of their
40 points in the 2016/17 campaign in front of their own fans, this is
by no means an easy trip for the struggling Swans.
Paul Clement's men have managed just seven league goals so far this
term whereas the Clarets have conceded just twice on home soil in five
matches. Given that the visitors have lost four of their last five top
flight games, this looks like a solid home win selection.
West Brom v Chelsea - Away win
Tony Pulis is starting to come under fire for his pragmatic style at
West Brom and the Baggies will do well to take anything from their clash
with a Chelsea side who have won four of their last five league matches
on the road.
Having won just one of their last nine Premier League games at the
Hawthorns, this could easily be a repeat of the back-to-back wins
Chelsea recorded over West Brom last season, both of which came by a 1-0
scoreline.
Fulham v Derby - Away win
Fulham are failing to fulfil the potential of last season's surge
into the Championship play-offs under Slavisa Jokanovic. Consecutive
defeats to Wolves and Bristol City before the international break mean
it's now five games without a win for the home side.
Derby however, have won four of their last five league matches,
scoring twice in each of those encounters. Overall, Fulham have won just
one of their eight Championship home games this season so opting for a
Rams victory seems the best option for this second-tier clash.
Atletico Madrid v Real Madrid - Draw
Both these city rivals have picked up 23 points from 11 La Liga
matches so far but neither will be happy with their performances and
this could end up being a cagey encounter between two sides that are
tough to trust on current form. Atleti have moved into the Wanda
Metropolitano for the new campaign and are struggling to replicate the
impressive displays that they managed under Diego Simeone in the Vicente
Calderon in recent years.
The home side have already drawn five La Liga games this season, more
than anyone else in the Spanish top flight. Another stalemate could be
on the cards here with Los Blancos still missing several key men and
Ronaldo struggling to find any domestic form in front of goal.
Inter Milan v Atalanta - Home win
Inter have won five of their six home league matches in Serie A this
season and should be able to secure three more points when they host
travel sick Atalanta.
The visitors are yet to win on the road in seven matches across all
competitions and have already lost three league games away from home.
What's more, Gian Piero Gasperini's men have yet to keep a clean sheet
and have leaked 10 times in that spell. The San Siro crowd will
certainly be confident of picking up maximum points once more.
